Terms of Use
Version françaiseWhat these terms cover
They cover this website, the mailing list, and the feedback service our plugins talk to. By using any of them you accept what follows.
They do not govern the plugins themselves. Those are free software released under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later, and that licence alone decides what you may do with them. Nothing here takes anything away from it.
Who we are
The identity of the publisher is set out at the end of this page.
The plugins
They are free. Not free for now, not free until a Pro version appears: free, under the GPL, with no feature held back. You may use them on as many sites as you like, for clients or for yourself, study them, modify them, and redistribute them under the same licence.
As the GPL says plainly, they come with no warranty of any kind. They are provided as they are. We test them seriously, on real projects, but we cannot promise they will suit your case or never cause you trouble. Before installing any plugin on a site that matters, ours included, back it up.
We answer support questions when we can. That is a courtesy, not a service level: we owe you no response time and no fix.
The feedback service
It is free, offered as it is, and meant for one thing: telling us about a bug or suggesting an improvement to our products.
When you use it, please do not send unlawful, abusive, or infringing content, and do not send other people's personal data, in the message or in a screenshot. Do not use it for automated or bulk traffic. It accepts ten reports an hour per installation, and we may delete reports and block an installation that abuses it.
We are not obliged to reply, nor to act on what you send. If we do build something you suggested, you acquire no right over the result, and we owe you nothing for it. That is the normal expectation with product feedback, and we would rather write it down than leave it implied.
The mailing list
You sign up yourself, we write rarely, and you can leave whenever you want. We do not pass your address to anyone.
This website
We may change, move, or remove any page at any time. The site is provided as it is, and we do not promise it will always be available.
The name Double Youpï, the logo, the design of this site and its written content belong to us. The source code of the plugins is under the GPL, which is a separate matter entirely.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, for lost data, for lost earnings, or for anything arising from the use of software we give away for nothing. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us, which for a free plugin is nothing.
Law and language
French law applies. The English version of these terms is the reference; any translation is there for convenience, and the English text prevails if the two disagree.
Changes
The date of the current version is at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site or the feedback service after a change means you accept it.
