Making WordPress better, without the bloat

Double Youpï is a studio building a modular suite of extensions for the pros who ship WordPress sites: freelancers and small agencies. The founding belief is simple: most of WordPress's annoyances have a good answer, you just have to take it, once and for all, cleanly.

The genesis

When you ship WordPress sites for a living, you end up fixing the same things on every project: a media library that overflows, a patchwork dashboard, plugins that try to do too much. Over time, you pile up homemade fixes you copy from site to site.

Double Youpï was born from that repetition. Rather than re-applying the same patches, why not make them into real tools: thought through, finished, shared, maintained. Extensions you install without a second thought, that make WordPress a little nicer, a little faster, a little cleaner.

It is not one more mega-plugin, it is a suite: it starts with the media library, Refined Media Library, the dashboard follows with Refined Admin Dashboard, and the collection grows, one extension at a time.

The stance

One thing, well

Each extension fixes one precise annoyance, all the way. No Swiss army knife that does everything halfway.

Decided for you

Sensible defaults rather than fifty settings. We make the call, you ship. Curated, opinionated.

It gets out of the way

No dashboard begging for your attention, no in-product ads. It works, full stop.

Free first

The first extensions are free and published on WordPress.org. Trust before anything else.

Behind Double Youpï:

Raphaël, alias Robot sensible.

WordPress developer & UX/UI designer

I design and code every Double Youpï extension, with a double standard: solid under the hood, right in use. The name « Robot sensible » (sensitive robot) sums up the intent: technical rigour, in service of how it feels.

I work solo, in public, at a « finish before the next one » pace. If an extension is missing, or if something about WordPress bugs you day to day, write to me: that is often how the next one is born.
